Dont Breath

by KR on Nov.27, 2009, under Dreams

Another post-apocalypse settings. I haven’t played any game, read any book, or watched anything in that setting in months, so no idea where this came from. I did not really recognize anyone else in this dream.

It starts out at a safe house covered in plastic, sealed up. You couldn’t breath the air. It was toxic. You would die or at worst turn into something mutated after breathing it in. Safe houses were usually crowded since a majority of the buildings were destroyed and in ruins.  Then the house was breached, something got in or something happened. We were rushed away. I don’t remember if we were wearing masks or were stuffed in a sealed vehicle but we were taken to a kind of training facility. It had a lab where food was trying to be grown. The main room was large and had a large screen TV. The leader was defiantly military but he took on training us kids. That’s what was mostly left, kids. He drilled us on dodging missiles and rockets with this strange holographic set up. We did well, probably because of all our years actually playing video games.

Again, something happened. One of the mutants had breached the facility. He told us to get to the roof, it was sealed. The oldest was to take control of the vehicle which just looked like a car sealed up with plastics. We climbed the stairs, some of us got caught by the bad air and died almost immediately, few started turning. We got to the car and stuffed as many of us as could fit and took off. It was a flying car. How I do not know. It was flaky but it flew. We decided to head back to where we came from but it was in ruins. A creature tried to jump up and grab the car. We barely dodged it as the car whacked its rear passenger tire on a fence that knocked it loose. The driver told someone else to take the wheel. He put on a mask and crabbed some plastic to seal up the tire as any slight breach would be death or worse for us.

And it ended there.
