So Many Corpses

So many corpses. All had gotten sick. We were trying to take care of them.
It was a warehouse or a factory. There was a train or monorail terminal/landing at the top of the building it brought people in to work. I don’t know how it started. It was state of the art. After the plague it looked ike it had been arund for overa 100 years. Rusted, old, falling apart. Leaks, puddles, constant drips of water.
I was working in the lower floor where the kitchens were. A couple of the sick were lying down on tables etc. There was nothing we could do. We just kept moping them with a cloth and water and trying what food we had in a soup to see if it helped. Most of them seemed to be oriental, or the setting of the dream reminded me of an empty place is Japan, if there really is one.
More got sick so fast. They even decayed at an accelerate rate after they succumbed. Those that hadn’t gotten sick tried to flee. To get to the monorails. No monorails came. It was so crowded with people that by the time the sickness spread and killed them they died standing, supported by each other asĀ no one could move. The stairwells, balconies, top floor… all filled with mostly standing corpses, rotting.
I did not cry. I could not. It was all so much. I found a young suvivor that had somehow lost her tongue. She helped me with that we could do. No on else survived. I paced the kitchen. Corpses everywhere. It was grimy with their decay. The huge sinks were full of baby corses or children, sometimes even an adult who just curled up and died. I had to clean it all up. I paced because I did not know where to start. There as no smell, ust decay, everywhere. All I could think of was how to clean it up.
